abstract = {A Comissão Editorial da Revista Acústica e Vibrações, edição n°45, apresenta à Comunidade Científica um grupo de artigos plural em sua temática, mas equânime em sua qualidade e importância, o que demonstra a grande abrangência da área de Acústica e Vibrações. 

Para a composição da revista, foram criteriosamente analisados artigos e selecionados temas que tratam desde o ruído aeronáutico até o ruído urbano, com ênfase nos transportes metropolitanos e no impacto decorrente de instalações de bombeamento. Há, ainda, a preocupação com a inserção dos profissionais da Acústica e áreas afins nas atividades relacionadas ao Desenvolvimento Sustentável e no estudo de salas de aula destinadas ao ensino da Música. O controle passivo de vibrações e a identificação de fontes sonoras por algoritmos genéticos completam os assuntos abordados nos textos. 

Os detalhes e os prazos de envio dos trabalhos para o XXV Encontro da SOBRAC, que será realizado de 20 a 22 de outubro de 2014, em Campinas/SP, bem como as informações sobre o Workshop apoiado pela Regional Norte da SOBRAC completam essa 45ª Edição da Revista da Sociedade Brasileira de Acústica. 

Os editores agradecem a todos que encaminharam seus trabalhos e esperam receber novas contribuições para as próximas edições da Revista Acústica e Vibrações.

Elias Bitencourt Teodoro || Title: Acoustics and Vibrations Editorial 45 || Abstract: The Editorial Board of the Acoustics and Vibrations Journal, issue n°45, presents to the Scientific Community a group of articles plural in its theme, but equitable in its quality and importance, which demonstrates the great scope of the Acoustics and Vibrations area. 

For the composition of the journal, articles were carefully analyzed and selected topics ranging from aeronautical noise to urban noise, with emphasis on metropolitan transport and the impact resulting from pumping installations. There is also a concern with the insertion of Acoustics professionals and related areas in activities related to Sustainable Development and in the study of classrooms for the teaching of Music. The passive control of vibrations and the identification of sound sources by genetic algorithms complete the subjects covered in the texts. 

The details and deadlines for submitting papers to the XXV SOBRAC Meeting, which will be held from October 20 to 22, 2014, in Campinas / SP, as well as information on the Workshop supported by the Northern Regional of SOBRAC complete this 45th Edition of the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Acoustics. 

The editors would like to thank all those who submitted their papers and look forward to receiving new contributions for future editions of the Journal of Acoustics and Vibrations.
