Abstract

The Sociedade Portuguesa de Acústica (S.Port.A.), together with the Sociedad Española de Acústica (SEA) and the Federación Iberoamericana de Acústica (FIA), are pleased to announce the ACUSTICA98 Congress to be held in Lisbon from September 14-16, 1998. The main topics will be Architectural Acoustics, Musical Acoustics, Underwater Acoustics, Bioacoustics, Noise Mapping, Noise Effects on Homer, Electroacoustics, Acoustic Materials, Signal Processing, Psychoacoustics, Urban Noise, Ultrasound, Vibrations. At the same time, the 1st Symposium of the Ibero-American Federation of Acoustics on Industrial Noise and Environmental Noise will take place.

The Congress program will include lectures by invited speakers, workshops, paper presentations and a technical exhibition. The official languages are Portuguese, Spanish and English. Papers are invited on all topics. The First Circular will be published shortly.
