Study of the Sound Impact Caused by Pumping Installations in an Urban Area

This work considers the analysis of acoustic phenomena associated with Booster-type water pumping installations and the respective noise impact in a residential area. Through the field study in frequency spectrum, precise information necessary for the complete characterization of the acoustic field generated by the noisy source was obtained. In the second part of the work, the environments were modeled and implemented with the help of Raynoise software. The results obtained in the simulations were compared with the field measurements to validate the computational models and also served as a basis for the noise control project.
