The work of professionals in Acoustics and related areas in the construction of Sustainable Development

Abstract

The text emphasizes the need for the commitment of professionals in Acoustics and related areas, in order to ensure that issues related to problems arising from noise are considered in public policies for the implementation of actions aimed at sustainable development. It presents a historical synthesis of the construction of the concept of sustainable development and shows that all sectors of Acoustics, professionals or companies, can expand their perspectives of action, generating financing possibilities and opening new markets, as long as they are engaged in the elaboration of public policies. , at all levels. It exposes the compatibility of ideas that a group of Latin American researchers has been working on, with a view to giving greater visibility and objectivity in the solution of problems related to the issue of noise, from the approximation of their associative institutions.
