This article addresses the validation of simulation results of the room acoustics software RAIOS 7. The software calculates the mono and binaural impulse responses, as well as the acoustical quality parameters in each room, for specified source-receiver pairs. To validate monaural impulse responses and the calculation of acoustical parameters, simulation results are compared with data obtained by other software, as well as with previously published room measurement data. The simulated room is one of those used in the last international intercomparison of room acoustic software. It is shown that the computational code under study showed similar deviations to the other software. To validate binaural impulse responses, articulation scores are used. Intelligibility tests are carried out in five classrooms of different dimensions. The same rooms are modeled in the computational code to generate the binaural impulse responses for source-receiver pairs positioned as in the actual rooms. The same sound signals used in the actual tests are then convolved with the simulated binaural impulse responses, generating auralizations. Articulation tests are finally carried out and their results compared with tests conducted in the actual rooms, indicating errors of less than 5%.
